Privacy
We keep privacy practical: you should know what AshBuilt uses to run the product, without needing a law degree.
What we use to run AshBuilt
- Account details (name, email, role) help you sign in and use the right tools.
- Project, estimate, message, and finance data you create stay tied to your account so the product works.
- AshBuilt Assistant requests use the details you submit to generate guidance.
- Payment processing for memberships is handled by Stripe — AshBuilt does not ask for card numbers in chat or email.
- You control what you post publicly on portfolios and marketplace profiles.
Analytics, cookies & advertising measurement
AshBuilt may use limited first-party cookies and advertising measurement tools to understand how people find the site, which campaigns lead to signups, and how the product experience can improve. These tools are separate from reading your private messages or project content.
- First-party analytics cookies may store an anonymous or pseudonymous browser identifier, first-touch and last-touch campaign details, and related visit timing. They do not store passwords or payment card information.
- Campaign measurement may include landing path, referral source, standard campaign parameters (such as utm fields), and advertising click identifiers such as gclid or fbclid when present.
- After a successful signup, acquisition analytics may record account type (homeowner or professional) so we can understand conversion — not to monitor private product activity.
- AshBuilt uses Google advertising measurement to understand ad performance and completed paid membership conversions. A purchase conversion is recorded only when a real paid checkout completes — not for ordinary browsing or free signup.
- Where enabled, AshBuilt may use Meta Pixel or similar Meta advertising measurement to understand visits and registrations that result from advertising. Meta measurement is not required for the product to work and may be inactive when not configured.
What acquisition analytics does not intentionally use
- Internal message contents between users
- Project descriptions written for jobs or work opportunities
- Estimate contents and line-item details
- AI prompt and response contents used for planning guidance
- Payment card information (membership payments stay with Stripe)
- Device fingerprinting for analytics identity
Messaging stays product data — not marketing analytics
- Homeowners can communicate with professionals through AshBuilt without needing to immediately share personal phone numbers, social media accounts, or other direct contact details.
- Acquisition and advertising measurement are meant to understand how visitors arrive and whether they register — not to monitor the contents of your conversations.
